TEAM NOTES

  •  Today's captains: Senior OLB Vince Biegel, senior RB Dare Ogunbowale and senior RB Corey Clement and senior S Leo Musso.

  •  Wisconsin snapped a four-game losing streak at Ryan Field, scoring its first road win over Northwestern since 1999. The Badgers
    are 29-18-1 all-time vs. Northwestern in Evanston.

  •  Wisconsin has won 13 of its last 15 road games in Big Ten play. Overall, the Badgers are 9-1 in their last 10 games away from Camp Randall Stadium.

  •  The Badgers improved to 12-3 against the Big Ten West Division since the Big Ten moved to its current divisional setup in 2014.

  •  Since the start of the 2006 season, Wisconsin is 31-7 (.816) in the month of November.

  •  The Badgers are 71-31 (.696) in Big Ten play since the start of the 2004 season, with only Ohio State (85-16, .842) owning a better mark in league play over that span.

  •  Wisconsin improved to 72-28-1 (.718) all-time as a top-10 ranked team in the Associated Press poll.

  •  Wisconsin is 7-2 through its first nine games for the fourth-consecutive season.

  •  When Alec Ingold converted to give UW a 21-7 lead in the fourth quarter, giving the Badgers their first successful two-point cover- sion since the Big Ten Football Championship Game on Dec. 3, 2011.

  •  Wisconsin dominated the time of possession category to the tune of 40:25 to 19:35. UW has won the TOP stat in 7 of 9 games this season. The only time the Badgers held the ball longer this season was a 54-10 win over Akron on Sept. 10 when they posted a mark of 40:52.

  •  UW's defense held the Wildcats to just 5-of- 18 (27.8%) on third down. For the season, Badgers' opponents are a mere 36-for-125 (28.8%) on third down, a figure that ranks fifth in the FBS.

  •  Wisconsin's D help NU to a season-low 39 yards rushing. The Wildcats entered the game averaging 138.8 yards per game on the ground.

  •  UW's defense forced NU into a three-and-out on 5 of 13 series (excluding end of half/game).
  •  The Badgers broke up 7 passes vs. NU on the heels of a season-best 12 pass breakups last weekend vs. Nebraska.

  •  The Badgers committed just one penalty for 10 yards. UW entered the game second in the nation in fewest flags, averaging just 2.9 per game. Over the last three games, Wisconsin has committed a total of two penalties.

  •  UW now has had one or fewer penalties in 4 of 9 games this season.

  •  Wisconsin ran a total of 79 plays, the team's highest total during Big Ten play.

  •  UW did not turn the ball over on Saturday, just the second game this season in which the Badgers did not have a turnover (also vs. Akron on Sept. 10).


  • INDIVIDUAL NOTES
Senior RB Corey Clement ran for 106 yards, his fourth 100-yard rushing game of the sea- son and scored a 2-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. Clement now owns 30 career TDs, ranking No. 10 all-time at UW.

Redshirt freshman RB Bradrick Shaw tallied 54 yards on 11 carries, the second-highest totals of his career.

Junior WR Jazz Peavy scored the first rush- ing touchdown of his career on a career-long 46-yard run in the second quarter to give UW a 10-0 lead. Peavy finished with 144 all-pur- pose yards (46 rushing, 73 receiving and 25 on punt returns). That total is two yards shy of his career best (146 vs. Ohio State on Oct. 15).

Junior CB Lubern Figaro broke up a career- high 3 passes.

With two pass breakups, senior CB Sojourn Shelton now has 30 in his career, passing Jim Leonhard (2001-04) for fourth all-time at UW. He now has 37 passes defended (which includes 7 career INTs) to rank sixth on the school's all-time list.

Senior S Leo Musso registered a career-high 9 tackles (all solo), including 1.0 tackle for loss.

Junior Conor Sheehy finished with 5 tackles, including 1.0 sack, to go with a forced fumble.

Freshman P Anthony Lotti placed 6 of his 7 punts inside the Northwestern 20 yard line and recorded a career-long 53-yard punt.
