Iowa (4-0) @ Wisconsin (3-1)
Kirk Ferentz got his first head to head win over Paul Chryst last season at Pitt. It was a 24-20 comeback win, where QB C.J. Beathard came in, after halftime, to lead the Hawkeyes to his first road victory.
Q. How prepared do you think this (Wisconsin) team is for Big Ten play now that we're here?
COACH CHRYST: Ready or not, here it comes. On that note (Laughter).
Iowa made changes in January, after the disappointing loss to Tennessee 45-28, in the TaxSlayer Bowl.
Ferentz enjoyed a Homecoming on Saturday, with former Wisconsin DC Dan McCarney. The Hawkeyes head man will surpass Barry Alvarez on the all-time Big Ten coaching list, with a win at Wisconsin.
Iowa is getting better offensive line play in 2015, compared the past two seasons heading into the game with Wisconsin.
The real change has been from the emergence of QB C.J. Beathard at QB. He is seeking his sixth win as a starter.
The Wisconsin running game has been outstanding against Iowa, especially the past two wins. It will be interesting to see how the new parts at Wisconsin, line up against the new parts at Iowa.
It is a great, close series, over the years in the Iowa-Wisconsin game.
It will be interesting to see how much Iowa has improved, after last year's 26-24 game, near the end of the season?
Iowa has improved in all four phasing of the game (offense, defense, special teams and coaching).
Last season, Iowa pulled out a win against Paul Chryst at Pitt. Will we see another neck and neck game in Madison on Saturday?
We shall this Saturday ... who is ready and who is not?
