If it's champion is not invited to the playoff, then you have to conclude that the B1G simply isn't relevant as a conference. It might as well be the Big 12. More than likely even the ACC will be respected as a conference. The B1G, not so much.

In your horse trading with the committee and other conference heads will you purposely weaken the conference brand to promote one of the only two schools that matter to you?
