Wisconsin
Wisconsin completed its fifth 10-win season in the last seven years.

With its 70th win since the start of the 2009 season, UW is one of eight FBS teams to average at least 10.0 wins over the last seven seasons. The Badgers join Alabama (84 wins), Oregon (79), Florida State (75), Stanford (73), Michigan State (71), Oklahoma (70) and
Clemson (70) in that club.

The Badgers have won consecutive bowl games for the first time since the 2005 and 2006 seasons.

Paul Chryst is the fourth UW head coach to record a 10-win season in the last 11 years, joining Barry Alvarez (2005), Bret Bielema (2006, 2009, 2010, 2011) and Gary Andersen (2014).

Wisconsin improved to 1-6 all-time vs. USC, winning the teams’ first meeting since 1966.

Wisconsin held a USC team that averaged 34.9 points and 449.6 total yards per game to 21 points and 286 yards.

The Badgers finished the season allowing an average of 13.7 points per game, their best mark since giving up 12.1 points per contest in 2006.

The Badgers limited USC to 65 rushing yards. UW held 8 of its 13 opponents under 100 rushing yards on the season, going 8-0 in such games. Only Alabama (11) has kept opponents under the 100-yard mark more often this season.

UW is 17-0 when holding opponents under 100 rushing yards in three seasons (2013-15) under defensive coordinator Dave Aranda.

Over its final 12 games of the season, UW allowed an average of 83.5 rushing yards.

Wisconsin held USC to a 5-for-14 mark on third downs and finished the season with an opponents’ third-down conversion mark of 31.2% — matching the 2004 team for the fifth-best mark in school history.

With USC punting on its first possession, the Badgers’ defense did not allow an opponent to score on its game-opening drive this season.

Wisconsin started four redshirt freshmen on its offensive line for the second straight game, with LG Micah Kapoi, C Michael Deiter, LG Beau Benzschawel and LT Jacob Maxwell.

The Badgers finished the season averaging a school-record 32.2 passing attempts per game. The only other seasons in the modern era.
