Noticed this earlier today, but Arkansas hired Bret Bielema away from Wisconsin three years ago today. Do you think the UW football program is in better shape or worse shape since that day?

Statistically there hasn't been much of a drop off on offense- from 2010 to 2012 the Badgers averaged 38.3 points per game and 435.8 yards per game. From 2013 through 12 games of 2015 the Badgers have averaged 32.3 points per game and 444.6 yards of offense.

Defensively there's been a bit of an improvement when you look at the stats, but not as much as I expected when I started looking: From 2013 through 2015 so far the Badgers have allowed 289.4 yards per game and 16.9 points per game, compared to 320.1 yards per game and 19.5 points allowed per game from 2010-2012.

If you look at recruiting, Wisconsin's average class rank from the 2011 class to the 2013 one was 51.3, whereas their 2014 class through their current ranking in the 2016 signing class is 32.3.

Obviously, statistics and recruiting rankings aren't everything. The Badgers won 3 Big Ten titles from 2010 through 2012, and haven't won any since then.

Maybe this is something we all knew, but I thought it was interesting to compare the on-paper results a few years down the road.
