It can be hard to look ahead at the 2019 class already but there is one kid from North Carolina that received interest from Wisconsin last year early on.
2019 quarterback Sam Howell from Sun Valley High School received interest from Wisconsin and we just recently spoke with him about the Badgers and what is the latest with that program.
"I know they stopped by the school near the end of the year last year but I haven't heard anything really since," he told Rivals.
He is a 6'1, 210 pound quarterback that threw for 3,586 yards and 35 touchdowns his freshman year and has several eyes on him early on including Appalachian State, Clemson, UNC, NC State, and Virginia Tech, as well as Wisconsin.
He recently competed in the Rivals QB Challenge in Atlanta and this is what was said:
Recruiting wrap: Howell has yet to receive an offer but a host of schools have shown interest.
Performance: Just a freshman, Howell has a thick build and sets his feet well. He doesn’t lack for arm strength, either. Howell has a host of physical gifts but also flashed some impressive footwork, as he was decent throwing on the run and connected with one of the day’s difficult deep passes.
