Got a chance to see Kaleim Taylor yesterday afternoon, a 2020 point guard who was recently offered by UNLV. The sophomore leads a really young and talented Milwaukee Academy of Sciences squad, a school of about 200 kids.
There's a lot to like about Taylor. I wouldn't call him a pass-first point guard, but he does look for his teammates and doesn't force shots. He's a thick kid - especially for a sophomore - and reminded me just a bit of Jordan Taylor in terms of his build and style of play. He's not a jump-out-of-the-gym, explosive athlete, but he's an athletic guard who can get to the basket just about any time he wants. Very good ball handler who has a pretty good shot and court vision.
Wisconsin saw him at camp this past summer and the Badgers are showing interest.
