James has obviously stepped up on the DL ( never been much of a Chikwe guy but he was stout if not brilliant last season early on) and James has NFL type athleticism and I'd assume the move of Goldberg to SSDE is a result of good play by the other NT's , including Patterson , giving us more needed size on the DL.
Linebackers might actually be more athletic than last years fine group, Caputo is back and Shelton probably playing his best ball since Frosh season, doubt this defense, rested and psyched for Alabama gets run off the field, unless offense us just putrid.
If we can put a decent cohesive OL out there against Alabama, along with CC and what I'm sure will be a greatly improved passing game, maybe we can make a Game out of it, we'll need to put up a minimum of 28 points IMO to have a chance to win.
There seems to be good news about Traylor, Wheelwright, Peavy, even an improved Erickson, let's hope Joel Stave has a great season, it can happen and then we go for revenge on Ohio State.
