ESPN scout thinks so.

Overall Traits
Size-Strength-Speed
This is a well-rounded runner with a good combination of size, strength and speed. Has a compact body structure that translates well to the college level. Shows very good speed -- he gets there in a hurry -- but lacks the elite breakaway speed against very good competition.

Ball Skills
Quick locating creases at the line showing very good vision in the hole and at the second level. Does a very good job following blocks while demonstrating the feel and anticipation needed to elude defenders in traffic.

Versatility
Is shifty and quick in and out of his cuts, making it difficult to line up for direct hits in tight spaces of in-line traffic. Quickly gains downhill momentum. Flashes very good feet, can side step defenders in the hole and really jump cut. Shows better elusiveness in tight space than in the open field, where he gears down some. Quickness and feet give him the appearance he may be faster than he actually is. Short area burst his a good asset of his.

Big Play Ability
Plays bigger than his measurables and has deceptive pop on contact, but still needs to add a significant amount of strength and power to his frame. Narrow base without much behind him to push the pile and bang inside. Still will look to get north when he has a downhill seam and can be a scrappy runner who breaks tackles.

Bottom Line
Taylor is an elusive runner with quickness and speed. He is also a good enough athlete to play another position maybe as a slot/utility weapon or even corner. He has cornerback feet, hips and quickness, but will likely start off as a running back/utility weapon with ball skills. Flying under the radar a bit and find his stock rises this summer.
