Size-Strength-Athleticism
Very good height and bulk at this stage and while needs to continue to develop frame and add some more mass, looks to have room to continue to physically develop with time in a college weight program. Displays good strength though room to improve as he continues to physically mature.
Pass Protection
An area for improvement. Lines up at tight end so at times involved as a receiver and can benefit from more reps in pass pro. When he gets hands on will hang on for the ride and fight to stay in front of rushers and flashes adequate lower body flexibility, but can tend to lunge and get top heavy and needs to improve footwork as base can narrow and get off balance. Displays some raw tools to develop, but inconsistent and looks to lean on effort at this stage.
Run Blocking
Can deliver a good initial pop and when he gets hands on can control and steer rushers, but can tend to drop head before contact and base can narrow and lose power and fail to create push he flashes he is capable of. Can use size to wall off defenders. Possesses adequate range though can improve angles working to second level.
Toughness
Doesn't always make things easy on himself and wouldn't classify as a nasty finisher, but does display good overall toughness and effort in his play.
Bottom Line
Fenton plays tight end and on the D-Line, but in college his best fit looks to be on the offensive line as an interior player. At this stage a prospect that is a bit of developmental player as he shifts his focus to one position. Player with some raw tools, but needs to better blend technique with his effort and if can do that he could grow into a productive contributor to an O-Line unit.
