Wow, Michigan comes out and hits a bunch of threes, but Wisconsin just keeps pounding and gets the job done.
This team is so good and can beat you so many ways. It may seem like we "have to play better," but that is because we expect them to blow every team out. This is Wisconsin Basketball. A win is a win, we arent going to run and gun. If a team hits 3's they can be in a game but certain attributes we have will carry us in a lot of close games.
1. we dont foul. Ridiculous how few free throws Michigan shot
2. Rebounding
3. FREE THROWS- the only 2 we missed were at the end when we didnt need them (BS technical call). We got to the line, hit our free throws and eventually Michigans prayers stopped being answered from deep.
4. Feeding the post. I like our chances when Frank gets the ball down low, or Nigel or Sam.
Keep in mind that teams make runs in tournament time. Its March madness. The teams who will come out ahead in the end are teams that dont allow second chance points, get some offensive rebounds, dont turn it over, can score in the post so we dont rely on jumpers, and make free throws at a high percentage.
IF we foul and send Michigan to the line for easy points we lose this game. We stuck to our guns during the big runs and wore them down in the end.
