Obviously, AVV lost a year old eligibility from the NCAA. I remember that someone in a similar situation petitioned (I think at Valpo) and got his year back. If AVV turns out improving and contributing this year, I wonder if he could do the same.
If we had landed Hauser, this would be a moot point. However, we will graduate EH, AI and CT and right now we have Ford plus Hedstrom and Currie who will probably need to contribute heavy minutes as red shirt freshmen. Another year for AVV would certainly ease that transition. It would also move a scholarship from 2019 to 2020 which is probably going to happen anyway.
