A few things about this year's team that are becoming frustrating to watch. I see these as 4 key areas to drastically improve if we are going to make another Final Four run. Welcome any additional points to see where everyone's head is at on this year's team.
1) The turnovers are out of hand. Sloppiness all over the place and nobody seems to be protecting the ball.
2) Nigel and Happ need to control the block and finish when they get the ball inside. They keep abandoning the inside game because nobody can convert down low. Nigel needs to toughen up and bring back his inside game.
3) I know we have a lot of depth but I think our chemistry is out of whack because we are making too many substituions. I think we work Jordan Hill out of the mix and play the Trice/Koenig combo more often. Koenig is a PG but plays better as a SG.
4) Somebody needs to show more emotion. I feel like Showalter is that guy but sadly he is somewhat of a weak link on the offensive side of the ball. Need Hayes and Koenig to bring some fierceness into play.
