1) Chryst is loyal to his former assistant coaches & players
2) Alvarez strongly endorsed retaining Aranda
like everyone else on this board I have no idea who Chryst will hire.... but I'm certain he will consult Alvarez because he obviously followed his advice when he kept Aranda one year ago (the only coach retained from Andersen's staff)
my best case scenario:
1) promote Tibesar & fill the staff with someone with heavy 34 experience ....I endorsed Leonhard in another thread
2) hire a DC from the outside with 34 experience
my worst case scenario:
1) promote Tibesar & re-position Haering from Special Teams to coach the LB's (Haering coached ILB's at Pitt for two years before coaching the OLB's in 2014)
2) hire a single-minded, inflexible DC who only believes in the 43
