From ESPN:

Size-Strength-Mobility

Tall and lanky, but doesn't look quite as tall as listed height. Lean, late bloomers frame. He's a pocket passer who happens to be a good athlete, not dynamic or elite, but good enough to extend plays and navigate the pocket. Good enough runner to find a way to get the first down with his legs.

Mental-Makeup
Pure rhythm and timing passer. Looks like a Boise State guy. Very in sync with the offense, knows his skill-set and how to implement it. Has a good clock in his head and anticipates well. Shows confidence to move the chains and improvise when initial play breaks down. Very resourceful in the pocket. Keeps his eyes downfield under duress.

Accuracy
Likely his best trait. Is a fundamentally sound thrower with a good base and weight transfer. Every throw is essentially the same in terms of style and technique. Leads receivers open and is a touch thrower who can fit the ball in with nuance, not power.

Release/Arm Strength
Arm strength is above average, but this is a touch passer who uses timing and anticipation to make throws. May never be a power guy or player who can just drive the football. Shows good zip from an over-the-top delivery that is very formulaic. Not sure how much he is capable of altering arm angle to get the ball out. He can dink and dunk as well as anyone especially when he is in rhythm.

Bottom Line
Coan possesses quality tools and stands out against this level of competition. May not be a guy that is elite in any particular skill, but has many redeeming traits. Would be an ideal west coast or multiple pro-set player.
