This is easily the most fun I've had in years on this board. Everyone is in the same mode, up, down, elated, saying WTH, clicking refresh every 3 minutes....CM is accomplishing what he set out to do and that is generate a great deal of interest in the program, and as the rabid and faithful 5% of us on these types of boards exhibits, interest has been raised. And I'd say hope and excitement for the future. I can't tell you how down I was on the program after the RB loss then the PSU loss. I had no hope this thing was going in the right direction and I think CM probably felt the same way. What's most exciting, exhilarating is that this program is going in a completely different direction than the formulaic "Wisconsin way" which has garnered so much succuss. We and the entire athletic department and football program are going somewhat outside the safe space comfort zone of what BA built. That is terrifying and exciting at the same time. WILL IT WORK? Who knows, but every indication is that it has a fighting chance and everything we are seeing is literally new in the last 30 years (GA wasn't a splash hire and Fickell is...). My only hope is that so much of this excitement isn't shut down at the gates of admission because we could be seeing something really cool here...and might I say without jinxing it, take us to the next level...
