I love the media....haha not.

Anyway, it occurred to me that year round football should NOT be the goal with Wisconsin HS football. I had felt that it should be for many years, but as we see how all this plays out in recruiting, many of the top players don't come from Wisconsin as HS's but they end up being phenomenal when they are done....insert "developmental program". If these kids were in year round football, they would have higher star rankings (be more developed, have greater exposure...) and would be more attractive to the top P5 teams and therefore harder to keep home. While it seems counter intuitive, having to develop the players from the state is actually a good thing and keeps others from sniffing around. Then again, when you get a Bredeson...the top programs WILL come knocking and we see how hard it was to keep him...or not. This is also a good reason why the walk on program is so successful at Wisconsin...these kids need the weight room and coaching which other TOP P5 teams aren't willing to invest in.

Thoughts?
