this guy makes a point that has some validity.

I get " speed" is a code word and we are devoid of speed players so far which, to me begs the question as to why we're wasting Jim Leonhard in the NE, where aside from a "white" TE with UW connections from Conn last year and a "White" QB this year, we aren't going to find what we need there.
Yes, Otis can jerk me around all he wants but there's no way a four star CB/Safety/WR even Linebacker is picking us over the Eastern Big teams in the long run.
Northwestern has 5, count them 5 Texas kids who can qualify to get in there, there are 100's to choose from in Texas.
Where are the 4.5 CB's going to come from?
Michigan? Indiana? Heck, Lovie is going to be hard to beat in Illlinois.
Nebby gets their speed from Texas, and this season, Mizzou and CAL so far.
The NE is tired, the south, including Florida, Texas and CAL are the places we need to look for what we need.
NY/NJ/Conn will yield an occasional, special situationel guy..
TEXAS makes the most sense, we've had Texas CBs/Safety guys in the past who did well here.
WHy give up there?
