I just couldn't help myself I had to compare the schedules of the Badgers and the Broncos.
A couple of questions I think make a point about why the Badgers are ranked higher than WMU and why they should win.
-Could Wisconsin have played WMU's schedule and gone undefeated?
While there no guarantees in CF I honestly believe the Badgers could have played WMU's schedule and gone undefeated ( so could a lot of teams but that's another discussion).
-Could WMU have played Wisconsin's schedule and ended up with the same record?
I thought about asking if WMU could have played the Badgers schedule and gone undefeated, but there is NO WAY IMO WMU could have played the Badgers schedule and had the same record much less go undefeated.
They almost for sure would have lost to LSU, would certainly lose to the big three of the of the B1G East and while Michigan St had a tough year their knowledge of WMU having played them recently would have made it tough for WMU.
We'll say WMU's win vs NW 22-21 to start the season was a good win and they did beat the Iliini, but do you believe they would have beaten Iowa, Nebraska or Minnesota? (I'll give them a win over Purdue) IMO WMUs final record had they played the Badgers schedule would have been maybe 6-7 on the low end and maybe 8-5 on the high end.
