I am a lazy fan of recruiting. I have a hard time deciphering true D1 talent just from watching highlight tapes, so I use the recruiting service rankings as a proxy for quality of class more often than not. So by that measure its been a really good class. However, given the rankings we did not recruit CB's as well as we should...I realize many of these guys may turn out to be great players, but none was a big time recruit. I don't think there is a position where there is more an opportunity to play early, it is a position where there is a track record of sending people to the pros, they will be allowed to play press man coverage with no help (I assume the attacking defense is preferred by corners) and Daronte Jones seems like a good recruiter...Doesn't add up for me.
