I'm hearing whispers of a potential coaching change at UW. This won't solve the overall problem imo. Anyone else a hockey fan with ideas?
I was a season ticket holder for years and the fan experience has gotten worse at least the last 5 years and I blame UW admin and NCAA. It's turned into a boring game (no fighting), pro's plucking top level kids quicker(which has actually been going on since Eaves days), student section used to rock, traditional rivalries gone(North Dakota games were awesome), and what has UW done to make the fan experience better? Nothing, and Dane County forcing the mask mandate for multiple years didn't help. The warm beer for season ticket holders between periods was an effort, but they can do better.
Whoever is coaching this team needs UW to start looking at hockey differently, and get the Kohl Center back to an exciting,, fun place to go for hockey and frankly for hoops as well. On Wisconsin!
