When you think about it, that really was a sign of Fleck being scared and thinking like a small time program. He wanted Purdue to win so that even if they lost today they still go to Indy. At 10-1 with a home game against UW a big time program would want a huge game against UW and a win against OSU to vault them into the CFP. Instead Fleck thought small and wanted a free pass into Indy.
