Next year the offense will be very good... hopefully we dont lose guys early to the NFL on the OL, but im not really that concerned unless we get hit by the injury bug on guys like Jonathan taylor, cephus again, pryor, davis, horni (if he keeps the job). TE will be good. I think we put up more points next year.
With Nelson likely leaving early and tindal gone, the concern I have is with the Defensive backfield. We cant afford to go backwards in this area, and we need to continue to add speed in order to actually compete for a final 4 spot... Penn state will try and throw it deep on us, Michigan has a new QB, Ohio state killed us with the big pass plays (although ferguson was put in a bad spot with his lack of speed).
We will have Dixon back which is huge at safety but Jamerson will be a huge loss.
Burrell is a 4 star recruit and got some time at safety.. can he step in and be a good player next year? if we get 4 star talent, we need to capitalize.. especially if he has speed
Carriere-williams- what are our thoughts on him... seemed to have some talent. Can he fill in for Nelson?
At D end I think Loudermilk will have a huge year
Van Ginkle looks really good at LB
We lose Dooley, jacobs and likely Edwards
Orr, connelly, Farrar, Baun? back?
Olive and Rand are back as well as Hershfield on the line, lose james and sheehy
I know we need to wait and see what Nelson and Edwards do, But I am assuming they are gone...
I feel like we have a lot of talent back as well as some good young players but if anyone in a major role misses a lot of time we are gonna be in trouble..
