Size-Strength-Range
Tall, rangy, and very lean athlete. Built more like a taller outside receiver and will need significant bulk to play in the front seven of a college level defense.
Instincts/Take On Skills
Quick off the ball vs. the run and shows quality instincts in coverage and is aware of his surroundings. Not a physical presence at the point of attack. At his best when covered up and freed to chase down the football. Needs to learn to play with better leverage.
Tackling
Wraps up high but firm. Utilizes his length for backside drag down tackles.
3rd Down Capabilities
Very versatile as he can come off the edge with quickness and stay clean with his longer arms. Shows the ability to lineup in coverage vs. slot WRs as well. We do not see the hips or movement to provide favorable match ups in man-to-man but he can certainly cover ground in zone and run stride for stride with TEs.
Bottom Line
Green-May is a high upside LB/DE with continued physical development likely dictating his college position and productivity.
