Wisconsin sets basketball home-and-home with Tennessee
Badgers will play in Knoxville in 2019 and host Volunteers in 2020
MADISON, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin and University of Tennessee announced on Thursday an agreement to play a home-and-home series in men’s basketball in 2019 and 2020.
The Badgers will travel to Knoxville, Tenn. to play the Volunteers on Dec. 28, 2019 and Tennessee will return the trip to Madison for the 2020-21 season opener on Nov. 11, 2020.
Tennessee is currently 13-1 on the season and ranked No. 3 in the AP Top 25.
Wisconsin and Tennessee played a home-and-home series in 2000 and 2001 with each team winning on its home floor. UT posted a 66-56 win in Knoxville in 2000 and UW claimed a 65-62 win in Madison the following season. Overall, the series between Wisconsin and Tennessee is tied at 2-2 with the Badgers winning the most recent meeting, 74-62, at the 2016 Maui Invitational.
