I hear lots of complaints about the defense, because it’s not like last years....which is true...but allowing 24 and 17 the last two weeks seem like ok scores given how powerful UW’s offense was supposed to be. In all honesty a bend but don’t break defense with this many young players on defense is justifiable ....but it’s the offense I can’t figure that out? We lost Ramesh and Fums, and replaced them with two of our better performing offensive players, and we look slow, predictable and unexplosive. I wonder if missing Fums, and Cephus has hurt us in the running game. Taylor just isn’t close to breaking many runs...too much run support from the opposing teams ILB’s and safeties. I also think Hornibrook is way better throwing out of the shot gun and not out of play action, which is not great for misdirection. I’m glad to have the win....but let’s hope the offense improves out of the bye.
