lose 3-2 on Friday but bounce back with a 6-5 win on Saturday against Northern Michigan... NM was picked for middle of the pack in the WCHA so this was a solid weekend, everything considered
the freshman made an immediate impact....Trent Frederic with the game winner & JD Greenway with a couple of assists on Saturday...and Greenway made a highlight poke-check on Friday to snuff out a breakaway
Will Johnson with goals in both games....he's a soph forward from that hockey "hotbead" of Santa Barbara, Cally & showed some promise last year....
I think were going to score this year but defense & goaltending is going to be a problem....our 1st two lines should be good led by centers Kunin & Frederic
biggest surprise though was senior Corbin McGuire with 3 goals....he took one for the team and made the move from forward to defense....he played on the #1 defense pairing with the freshman Greenway
the bad was goaltending....soph Jurusik was mostly bad last year & was bad again this weekend... maybe Tony G should take a look at the two freshman goalies
too many penalties....gave up a few 5 on 3 power play opportunities and that sucks....scored 4 power play goals on Saturday but also gave up two short hand goals
