ESPN SCOUT:
Size-Strength-Speed
Possesses nice combination of height and bulk at this stage with a frame that can continue to be developed and support additional good mass with time in a college weight program. Demonstrates excellent raw strength and adequate first-step quickness.

Versus the Run
Possesses the size and strength to anchor one-on-one when he fires off and stays low. Displays good upper body strength to be able to press and control blockers, but can work to find the ball and get off blocks little quicker at times. Displays average lateral agility and overall range.

Pass Rush Skills
Can continue to refine and be more efficient at times, but does a very nice job of being active with hands. Lacks ideal lateral quickness to shake blockers and work double moves as edge rusher, but can do a good job of attacking half-man and trying to work moves. Doesn't have ideal bend, but tries to work a tight path and flashes decent dip.

Toughness/Motor
Defender with good size and strength to be able to hold his own and flashes a physical temperament at times. Can throttle down a little too quickly at times, but overall shows good effort. A solid wrap-up tackler.

Bottom Line
Preston is a D-Line prospect with very good strength and a nice frame to develop. Listed as a DE, if he can add the size his best fit in the long-term could come as an interior player or at least serve as a 'swing' DL. Not a dynamic presence, but defender with ability to be stout versus the run and be a solid pass rusher and we feel he can develop into productive contributor.
