I'll start with this: I'll bet my ideas/our ideas won't ever be implemented, but it's a fun theory.

I'm much more of an NBA fan than a CBB fan. That's because of the player skill level and some NBA connections I have. I VERY much enjoy watching the Badgers play though and go to many games and watch on tv if possible. I watch a lot of the national NBA games each week and read a lot of content as well.

One idea I think would do the Badgers some good is minute staggering. Minimize the amount of time Happ and Nigel share the floor, and make sure one is always out there. Clearly both have a place. It's just they have a lot of skills that overlap. I'd seen talk of staggering BK/Nigel at the beginning of the year, but I'm not sure that's the way to go.

Say you stagger Happ/Nigel correctly and each plays ~30 minutes a game. Each gets 10 mpg without the other. During that time, they are the focal point of the offense. Run it through Happ in the low post, run it through Nigel in the low post. Nigel should feast on second units this way. Give the bench a boost. You can even keep the same starters, just make the adjustments quickly.

Example: a lineup of Trice/BK/Iverson/Vitto/Happ with Happ being fed down low and having three shooters running around outside (plus Iverson, who you'd prefer could shoot but you know. At least he's a great slasher and can defend). Then when Happ needs a break you being out Nigel and maybe swap in Hill (I know) and 1/2 of the Illikainen/Thomas/AVV group. Bolsters the bench and honestly how much did your top unit suffer?

Not sure how much anyone here follows the NBA, but with the four stars the Warriors have they should always be playing two of them. Stagger minutes and only play all four together when needed (because the returns are diminishing). The Bucks should be doing similar with Giannis. He should only be on the floor with other players that fit either him or will stay out of the way (Delly, Brogdon, Telenovic, Snell, Middleton, Plumlee, and some nights Jabari). He shouldn't ever see the floor with Beasley because then you're pulling shots from your best player (Giannis) and wasting the minutes he is out there.

And going with the Warriors analogy, we need to find out how many threes per game Vitto can handle. Because he's a damn good shooter. Get him open and force him shots. During the non conference is perfect for this. Another benefit of staggering Nigel and Happ: more looks for Vitto
