I hate to minimalize the game but it really does come down to making shots. Bo always said it and I agree. Unless you have just a completely dominating defense, that creates so many easy fast break opportunities, it really does come down to just making shots consistently. There are tons of reasons why we won last night but most importantly, we made 48% of our shots and shot 43% from 3 pt range. You miss a few of those threes and maybe a bunny here or there, and the game is close. I also saw Iowa miss some really easy shots down low, that helped us a ton. They are good shooting team that did not shoot well. yes, some of it was good defense but they missed shots they are capable of making. They could beat us by 10plus points if they get hot. I love our squad and how much looser we are playing, but I still worry about our shooting b/c that is what will come back to haunt us in the tourney. We can beat practically every team in the country, if we shoot the ball like we did last night. I just have zero confidence we can do it consistently this year.
