Wisconsin to host Marquette on Nov. 17

UW and MU renew rivalry that has been played every season but one since 1958-59

MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin and Marquette will renew one of the best rivalries in men’s college basketball when the Badgers will host the Golden Eagles on Nov. 17, 2019 at the Kohl Center.

Separated by just 75 miles, Wisconsin and Marquette will meet for the 124th time in a series that began in 1917. UW and MU have played every year but one since the 1958-59 season (did not play in 1984-85).

The 2019 game marks the earliest UW and MU have met since the Badgers opened the 1997-98 season at home against Marquette on Nov. 14, 1997.

The Badgers lead the all-time series with Marquette, 67-58, but the two teams have split the last 10 meetings.

Wisconsin’s non-conference schedule also includes road games at NC State on Dec. 4 and at Tennessee on Dec. 28 as well as an appearance in the Legends Classic in Brooklyn on Nov. 25-26 along with Auburn, New Mexico and Richmond.
