Anybody else here want that axe back?
I have to give give credit where it is due.
PJ has that program back to respectability. Two years in a row we watched them parade with the axe (on our field and theirs) like they haven’t had it for 125 years, and I think right now, they want it worse than we do. This game should have a new emphasis on it from now on. They have a chance every year now, to not only parade with the axe, but take our place in the standings and prevent us from our ultimate goal.
I think we got complacent with the axe, having classes come in and seeing it in the case from the day they stepped on campus until the day they left. Minnesota has the upper hand right now. They believe there is no reason why it shouldn’t be in their case every year.
This rivalry in my eyes is back on.
