Interested in thoughts on the Nebraska OT possession. Their board is in a bit of a meltdown over the third down play and the lack of PI on Watt. They believe that the no call cost them the game, even comparing it to the worst non-call in the history of their program. As you can see, they have an interesting view of their program in the football world, as well as ours. You think the Goof fans are living in the past, read this little number.
I have watched the play several times on YouTube and I don't see the PI. Appears to me that Watt was pulling up trying to avoid contact, and that it was their guy who hit Watt, and ever so lightly at that. Seems to me he did a bit of a flop trying to draw the call. Also, don't think he could have got to the ball regardless, Dixon was a ways away and the ball was low.
They seem to think the the B1G refs have it out for them, even joined by PSU fans. As evidence, they cite the lack of penalties on Wisconsin this year. They also think that there was holding by Ram on the OT TD, one poster thinking that there were 4 holds on that same play by UW OL. Will be interesting to see their reaction next week when they play a team that actually does hold on every play.
