the NHL Draft is at the end of June....and The Hockey News released their top 100 draft-eligible player ratings:
21) Luke Kunin, center....described as a "Swiss Army Knife" player because of his all-around game....said he needs to get bigger (193#) so his chances of returning for his soph year are good....he's still only 18.... NHL comp: Nashville's Mike Fisher ...but a scout said Kunin's skill is better than Fisher's at the same age....btw Fisher is married to Carrie Underwood; schhhhwing!
46) Trent Frederic, center ....NHL comp: St Louis' David Backes (big & nasty, but skilled)
89) Max Zimmer, left-wing.... "great skill & smarts" ....
97) JD Greenway, defense...."huge frame with nice offensive moves" ...he was rated #121 by the NHL Central Scouting so either he's moving up the draft boards or there's a difference in opinion on this cat
....and The Dream Team announced the signing of two goalies: Jack Berry from Holly, MI and Johan Blomquist from Stockholm, Sweden...
