A lot has been posted on the offensive line not playing up to Wisconsin standards but it's really an improving unit.
Take the NW game for instance. Last year we played at home and we rushed for minus 26 yards. Take away Stave's sacks and we got 32 yards. This year we rushed for 227. Now it took a lot of attempts to get to 227 but if we convert we get more chances to run the ball. The improvement is significant.
Rudolph is doing a much better job coaching than the critics are leveling at him, I think. By coaching, I mean things that a coach can control. A coach can't control if the players are injured. Can't control physical strength and lack of experience. But a good coach can minimize unforced errors. How many holding calls have we had all year? How many false starts? I'd say that's pretty good coaching.
