Mine, the Yankees started with a head scratcher.
Drafted a Pitcher Clarke Schmidt who had TJ surgery recently and didn't project as a top 16 player BEFORE his injury.
We assume he's willing to sign on the cheap and the Yankees will use that extra money to sign Matt SAUER their 2nd rd pick over slot. Matt Sauer is a HS pitcher who touches 97 and is 6'4-5 with more velo to come, so that might work out but it was bad year to do this.
Yankees rarely pick this high, and they could have done something like this in most years where they have a very late first rd pick.
Don't like it, unless he signs for almost nothing and we have money for 2 other over slot signings.
How did Brewers, Cubs, KC, Twins etc. do?
