Somewhat connected to the Cephus discussion about how politically correctness has taken over and campuses have apparently become anti-men.

If there is a police report made about a sexual assault, what is the proper action by the athletic department and the legal authorities? Encourage reporting by the victim? Or blame the victim for putting herself in that position so that she shuts up? Should the accused be treated as though nothing has happened?

MSU decided to prioritize the opinions of the men in power over the complaints of the girls and their families.
They certainly had policies and processes in place but they were not enforced because the decision was to only look at one side of the story. It was a judgment call that the MSU leadership made due to the reputation of Nassar at that time.

UW, on the other hand, went ahead with applying their policy without bias. Suspension while under investigation. I would say that has nothing to do with political correctness and everything to do with being judicious and not leaving anything up to someone's judgment call.
