My first impression was that a team like oklahoma will probably drop another game because they have tough competition coming up... this weekend they play Ok st... then I thought, a one loss Oklahoma state team, if they beat Oklahoma, will definitely jump wisconsin... so one team may be knocked out of contention and another steps in... if miami beats notre dame, ND may be out but Miami will jump us with that big win and likely go WAY up the polls.. and in that scenerio they will either beat Clemson and be in for sure ahead of us because they would be higher in the polls already, or give clemson another big win in the ACC championship, and they are already #4 and not going anywhere... so basically it seems as though an ACC team or Notre dame are definitely in, maybe both ND and Clemson if they both win out.... 1 of 3 Big 12 teams could be ahead of us.. add that with possibility of both alabama and georgia getting in... ugh
with our crappy schedule its looking more and more likely that if we win out we can be left out...
really our best chance is a team like Miami/ND/Clemson/ oklahoma getting knocked off by an unranked team.. if they beat each other I can easily see teams just trading places ahead of wisconsin because of the emphasis they are putting on playing other good teams... not sure beating OSU in championship will be enough...
The good news is that I think the Pac 12 is basically out as long as the Big ten has wisconsin or osu win the rest of the way
Im not saying the we will be left out.. deep down I wanna believe that if we win out we are in, but I think what will happen is that we will have to sweat if out until the last possible moment...
we will likely have to jump several teams on the last possible selection sunday and hope our one good win against OSU will be enough..... gonna be stressful!
