We lost the last 3 times we were in the Outback bowl and Tampa FL is generally referred to as a pretty scummy location. Would have much preferred the Holiday Bowl in San Diego CA against USC.
I don't think we can embarrass ourselves much more on a national stage than a 59-0 loss, so really we've got nothing to lose. On a plus side, we get an opportunity to recruit more 2-star athletes out of Florida while we're down there.
I think Auburn (War Eagle) fans would agree with me, neither team wants to be there. It's really a lose-lose game for Auburn because they will be expected to win by 20 and even if they do, won't get a lot of credit for the win.
