I just don't see Paul Chryst as an effective salesman or closer compared to most other head coaches. I don't think flipping significant recruits at the 11th hour is something Paul excels at. I see long term relationship building and getting early commits as something he needs to hang his hat on. JMO but I hope I am pleasantly surprised. (although he did get D.Carriere-Williams)
