TEAM NOTES

·Today’s captains: senior TE Troy Fumagalli, senior S Natrell Jamerson, senior DE Alec James and senior WR Jazz Peavy.

·Today’s attendance at Camp Randall Stadium: 77,542.

·Wisconsin improved to 2-0 at home for the 13th-consecutive season.

·The Badgers won their 39th-consecutive non-conference home game, dating back to 2003, to match Ole Miss (1947-68) for the fifth-longest streak by any FBS team in the modern era (since 1946).

·UW has won 20 of its last 24 games (.833), dating back to the 2015 season.

·The Badgers rushed for 357 yards. UW tallied 300+ yards rushing just once last season, going for 363 yards vs. Illinois.

·UW’s 564 total yards of total offense was the team’s most since totaling 586 yards against Akron on Sept. 10, 2016. The Badgers have won their last 15 games when accumulating 500 or more yards of offense, with the last such loss coming in a 45-38 setback to Oregon in the 2012 Rose Bowl when UW posted 508 yards.

·The Badgers ran 84 plays on offense, the team’s highest total since running 84 plays in a 23-21 victory at Nebraska on Oct. 10, 2015.

·Of FAU’s 15 total offensive possessions, 10 gained fewer than 10 yards.

·Wisconsin’s defense limited Florida Atlantic to 8 total yards on 13 plays in the third quarter as the Badgers extended their lead to 31-14.

·During the second half, the Badgers defense surrendered just 2 total first downs and a mere 50 yards on 21 plays.

·The Badgers’ defense recorded 10 tackles for loss, its 2nd-consecutive game with at least 8.0 TFLs.

·The UW defense garned 5.0 sacks on the day, something they only accomplished once last season (5.0 vs. Minnesota on Nov. 26, 2016).

·An Alex Hornibrook interception in the second quarter was the Badgers’ first since the fourth quarter of UW’s 23-17 win over Nebraska on Oct. 29, 2016. The pick snapped a streak of 7 consecutive games (and 29 consecutive quarters) without throwing an interception. That was the longest such streak by a Big Ten team in the last 20 years.

·One week after getting flagged 9 times for 73 yards against Utah State, the Badgers were penalized just once for 10 yards against Florida Atlantic.
