The Badger win marked Wisconsin’s 11th top-10 win, and 7th top-5 win, under head coach Greg Gard. In the Big Ten, only Michigan State (8) has more top-5 wins in the Gard era (since 2015-16).

Saturday's win was the first over a top-10team since the Badgers topped No. 8 Purdue on March 1, 2022. It marked the highest-ranked victory since a road win at No. 3Purdue on Jan. 1, 2022.

Wisconsin tallied its second top-25 win of the season (also beat #24 Virginia).

Wisconsin collected its 50th victory over aTop-25 team since 2001-02, when former coach Bo Ryan and Greg Gard (associate head coach) arrived at UW. The Badgers have gone50-26 at the Kohl Center vs. top-25 teams over that span.

The Badgers have won 3 straight againstMarquette and 4 of the last 5 meetings. UW improved to 71-59 in the all-time series with the Golden Eagles.

This marks the first 3-game win streak by either team in the all-time series sinceWisconsin claimed four straight from 1998-2001.

Tyler Wahl is the first Badger to appear in 4wins over MU since Charlie Wills played in 4wins from 1998-2001.

Wisconsin led 46-33 at the half. Marquette's13-point deficit was their largest at the half this season.

Wisconsin's 46 points in the first half were the most first-half points by either team in the series since at least the 1999-2000 season(25 games).

UW won the rebounding battle, 38-23. The Badgers reeled in 15 offensive boards and tallied 18 second-chance points.

The Badgers secured 15 offensive rebounds off of 31 misses from the field (23-of-54 shooting). The Badgers' 15 offensive rebounds off of 54 shot attempts were the most in a single game when attempting fewer than 55 field goals since a win overIowa on March 7, 2019 (15 offensive boards, 54 field goal attempts).

UW has grabbed 35+ rebounds and 10+offensive boards in 3 of the last 4 games.

Wisconsin shot 24-for-28 (85.7%) from the line, the best clip in a game this season when attempting 20+ free throws.

The 86% clip was Wisconsin's highest 25+ free throws since going23-for-26 (88.5%) in a win over Coppin State on Nov. 6, 2018.

In the Gard era (since the 2015-16 season), Wisconsin is 39-9 when attempting 25+ free throws.

The Badgers effectively defended the three-point line, allowing Marquette to shoot just7-for-29 (24%) from distance. The clip was the lowest for a Badger opponent since Wisconsin held Arkansas State to a 4-for-21 performance in the season-opener.

Wisconsin fought to the victory despite a 5-for-20 clip from distance. The Badgers did not hit a single three in the second half.

The Badgers never trailed in the victory.
