Was out to see University of Detroit Jesuit three-star athlete Scott Nelson last night. This was his first game back from a high ankle sprain and he made some nice plays, but was limited mostly to running the QB position. Lateral agility was missing and he looked tentative at times, but his straight line speed was there and he showed that off when he broke free for a 64-yard punt return in the second half.
I talked with Scott after the game and he has been in close contact with Coach Leonhard. Wisconsin wants him to come down for the Oct. 29 game weekend, and he is checking on if that will work. More from Nelson in the article below.
