Guys, it befuddles a lot of people on this board why the heck Wisconsin can't recruit "better" at the OL position from out of state. It's quite clear that there is a significant focus of the program towards this position and the results speak for themselves. Guys get PAID after they play at Wisconsin. Why wouldn't every top OL in the country consider us?
Is there a misconception that our OL tradition is better than most everybody?
Does the staff have a philosophy that they only take hard workers? (do they weed out a lot of kids?)
Is it the style of play?
Is it the coaches?
Obviously, if we hand on to Logan Brown, that will be a huge coup but what about the rest of the kids out there, it really SEEMS like they should be knocking down our doors and at least 1 position that we should be choosing, not recruiting...if you get my drift there.
Thanks in advance!!
