Pucky showed some heart against an old WCHA rival but lost 6-5 to the #2 team in the latest hockey polls....our boys are proving they can compete with the best in the country
the boys were dominated in the 1st, rallied to tie it at 2 in the 2nd.... but Denver capitalized on power play opportunities to stretch the lead to 5-2 in the 2nd including a back breaking 5-3 power play when they scored twice...
Pucky rallied in the 3rd period but came up on the short end
* Seamus Malone...2 goals.... he's benefitted greatly from the Dream Team's fast paced system
* Grant Besse.... goal & 2 assists....he also had a big game in Friday's win over CC
* Luke Kunin.... goal & an assist ....and plenty of great opportunities at the net; he's close to breaking loose
* Max Zimmer... goal ....same story as Kunin....his promotion to the 1st line looks like a smart move
the power play was once again strong with 3 scores.... this is a huge area of improvement over the Eaves' teams ....lack of depth & defense remains a problem & won't be solved until future recruiting classes arrive...
