Re-watched game. Man, we have a really really good team! Play calling was better, fly sweeps helped open up the running game. However, there were a couple wasted possessions where we ran the ball straight up the middle on 1st and 2nd down with nothing to disguise the play or make the defense second guess what we are doing. But overall better play calling. Also in overtime from the 4 we ran a bad play on 2nd down. Faked the quick handoff to the fullback, who actually busted through and would have scored like he did on our other rushing TD.
There were a couple deep passes that bailed OSU out, like the one that got them into scoring range in the 4th when they tied it up.
With all that said what really killed us was the 3rd quarter when we didn't stop them on 4th down twice on the same drive that led to a touchdown, and then that terrible pick we threw that led to another TD.
Again, we played really well. Very very solid team. Just wish we would have gotten a stop on those 4th downs and avoided the pick. Really played like the better team minus those 2 possessions and OT. I don't think OSU's athletic ability was the difference, kept them in check all game and we also had big plays.
