While the refs reversal was inexplicable, passing on first down was terrible strategy. You are begging for trouble dropping back there (see 2nd down). Get CC or TD in the game. Run for one yard. Use jet action and you pretty much guarantee a score. You can even have a pass called already for second down if you don't get in on first. Worst case scenario, you spike on second, pass on third and have a run/pass option on fourth. NW fans dream is for Wisc to be throwing there. And if you MUST throw on first/second, do something creative, like play action and slipping a TE.

Time was not the issue that PC thought that it was. By passing on first, you only get yourself an extra play if you also pass on 2nd and 3rd. With our passing game?? That is irresponsible at best.

Again, worst case is Run/spike/pass/either vs. Pass/pass/pass/either. I'll take option 1.

Not so different than the Super Bowl.
