got me thinking about the best golfers who made their name in other UW sports....just listing those I've seen play
David Greenwood....making a living as a Club Pro in Florida
Mike Kosolcharon....I think he played in a few Wisconsin Amateur events....close to a scratch IIRC
Brian Butch....a solid stick
Pat Richter....like Greenwood, no surprise as both are outstanding all-around athletes
Jim Bakken...never seen him play but used to post honor scores on Madison courses very often (sub-80 scores)
Dick Bennett....hard to find someone more golf-crazy than the Coach..... I've seen him a couple times at Nevada Bob's demo days.....he owns a home at Lake Arrowhead (between Wisconsin Dells & Wisconsin Rapids) so he can play two great courses everyday
Joe Pavelski.....rumor was he wanted to try out for the Badgers golf team but it never happened
