AND I have a few comments, you may or may not agree with.
It didn't work when Traevon was dribbling too much and it doesn't work with the much better Bronson either.
He needs to trust his teammates more and his turnovers will come down, as will his missed shots, he's a great college guard but he'll wear down this way and the ball needs to move.
Showalter's game is really growing on me. Can't shoot worth a lick but plays tough D, fights under the basket, picks up the loose balls, makes some steals and knows how to finish, if he could shoot a little more, he could be a poor man's Gasser and a very valuable player, he passes very well.
Every time we took vItto out of the game, for fouls or other mistakes, we picked our game right up. He isn't a DIV 1 player even if he can shoot and score a little, he's a liability out there, yea, he's my whipping boy, made a clutch shot late and then made 2 successive mistakes, CHarlie Thomas is a better player already, CHarlie has game, better on defense already, handles better, boxes out better, just understands the game better, he will and should take Vitto's minutes,. Charlie can play.
Happ is playing fine for a beginner, FRosh with no experience, he'll get better. He's a very, very good rebounder, I counted 3 tie up/ held balls that he caused without fouling, he scores but has the worst outside shot I've ever seen on a major college player. Forget him doing anything offensively, except lay ups, drives for a dunk, or put in. Doesn't even hold his arms or hands in a position where he would have a prayer to hit a shot.
Shockingly he can shoot free throws. Good ball handler for a BIG, good passer, understands the game, he's fine unless you want a Frank Kaminsky.
Nigel has totally changed his body, give him a chance to feel it and understand it and he'll be even better than last year and if Bronson isn't dribbling so much, he'll score more.Frankly, if I were Nigel and people view me as an NBA tweener, i'd ask if I could try out for TE on he football team and if I showed potential, I'd redshirt next season and play TE the following season. He's probably 6'6.5 and has GREAT hands and power, if he can run 4.7, he can make a lot of money in the NFL.Yea, I know I'M CRAZY.
Iverson didn't get much floor time, wonder if he's in the doghouse already, he hit an outside shot and looked good.
