Should've lost the game. Purdue had some brain farts. Both the INTs would have been pick sixes.
Not a good game by Hornibrook. It's as expected for a sophomore QB though. Some good passes and some questionable ones. He telegraphed the screen play. Gotta at least look the other way to freeze the defense. Most of all I think he could've been put in a better position for success with play calling.
I didn't like the play calling. Could have changed it up to throw on early downs and do some play action passes to the flat to get Purdue out of the box. Was Fumagalli hurt so bad that we didn't even target him? You'd think that with every defender looking at JT, the TEs could fake some blocks and leak out into the open for easy completions for Horni.
Groshek has earned himself more carries. Good things seem to happen when he gets the ball. Show that you can be depended on and you get more reps.
Injuries. We're the walking wounded out there. Peavy out. Chris James out. Danny Davis looked hurt bad. Tindal has a shoulder. Fumagalli. Loudermilk. OGs. We could compete with the best teams in the country if we have the horses. Right now, we're merely a good team.
